Drop off time at the curbside of the MTC! We wish we could take her with us...that would be a power team! |

Grandparents Oldroyd were awesome hosts for us on our last day. They treated us to lunch at the Olive Garden and took great care of us. I love them! |

Wow, the first day at the MTC is CRAZY! It feels a bit like a factory at times, but everyone is just on this constant spiritual high. We started at 1:00 with 2 hours of "classroom", which is basically language study. I can understand a lot of what the teacher is saying. Rosetta Stone payed off! After classroom, at 3:00 we had our MTC Presidency Welcome. Our District is extremely efficient, so we were there early and the sisters got to sit in the front row. It was awesome. People glow here. 4:15-5:00 was dinner, and 5:00-5:30 we finally got to unpack some of our stuff. But then 5:45-8:00 we had our first "teaching experience" - basically there are 100 or so new missionaries in a room, and we have one "investigator" at the front that we engage with. We repeat this in 3 different rooms with 3 different investigators. It was really enlightening to try to be led by the spirit to what the investigators most needed to hear. Then from 8-9:30 we met our zone leaders. Talk about a long day!
My companion is wonderful. I am so glad that we have been paired together. Her name is Sister T. She is a super cute 19 year old who reminds me a lot of Paige - very sweet, thoughtful, spiritual, goofy, and fun. We have so many moments where we are thinking of what to teach, then we realize we flipped to the same scripture. There are 4 girls in our room, and we are all really on the same page spiritually. This is going to be a great experience!
